Various finishes are available for AluWood windows and doors, these fall into three main categories.
Should a special finish or specific colour be required please contact AluWood technical department for advice and availability.
Certain colours may result in extended lead times.
The most common finish for anodised aluminium is ‘clear anodised’ which is sometimes known as ‘silver anodised’. Anodising is not an applied finish but a change in the surface of the aluminium formed by accelerated oxidisation, as a result the finish is extremely hard wearing.
A limited range of colours is available usually in various shades of ‘bronze’ and a black. More recently various shades of grey have become available.
Timber profiles are pressure treated prior to assembly to ensure a long stable life expectancy. Once the product is manufactured it can be sprayed with various micro-porous finishes to suit the clients internal decor designs. White or clear lacquer finishes are most common but there is also a wide range of colours available .
